Personas

After doing a data analysis as well as looking at our ad trends, three personas were developed to represent our core audience. We found a six users who fit the profile of the personas and conducted user interviews to better understand how and why they used Pogoplug. The main takeaway was that all the users we spoke to identified the ability to view and backup photos was the most valuable functionality of our product.

The Challenge

With the trend of mobile users increasing using their mobile camera as their primary camera and documenting their day-to-day lives, local storage was becoming more and more of an issue. Not only did Pogoplug wanted to create a mobile app to accompany its web platform, it also aim to find a way to make viewing and backing up photos easier without having to tie up user's content to a specific device.

Flow

Outlines the flow of how a user would navigate through the app. A workflow helps all the teams to understand the scope of the project and identify the various phases as the developement progresses.

Wireframes

Wireframe to show in more detail the various interactions within each screen and between the screens.

The Result

Delivered an user friendly app that not only focuses on viewing all the content available on the user's cloud, as well as real-time backup of all the photos on user's phone. Instantly frees up local storage space. In addition, users can easily share photos and any content via social media and/or email with other users or the public.
